Synopsis
Enter ReGENErate, a gene modification clinic that promises to transform patients into their ideal self. By examining shortcomings, insecurities, and inherited traumas, ReGENErate asks what we want to change and why.
Artist Information
Jaime Sunwoo is a Korean American multidisciplinary artist from Brooklyn, NY. She combines video, sculpture, and storytelling to create sensory performances in galleries, theaters, and public spaces. Her works discover uncomfortable truths between humor and tragedy. She received her BA in Art at Yale, and is a Laundromat Project alum. She appeared on PBS's Art21 through Whoop Dee Doo. Her ongoing project Specially Processed American Me, was shown at JACK, FailSafe, BAX, Open Source Gallery, NYU, The Tank, Abrons Art Center, and Flux Factory. More at jaimesunwoo.com
